Trash to Treasure Metal Clay Class
Join the movement to reuse and re-create using discarded, found objects. Open your mind to the possibilities!
In this class, you will use found objects and molding techniques to imagine and create your pieces.
About the class:
Create a unique and beautiful piece of jewelry using cast away treasures, while learning the process of working with base metal clay. Kim will walk you through how to prepare your own clay, the basic tools you need to work with the clay, tips and tricks of attaching metal clay pieces, and how to create your own molds.
This is an intermediate class and introduction to working with base metal clay. There is no experience necessary, all tools and clay are provided. Just bring yourself, your willingness to learn and your desire to create.
Class length is approximately 3 hours. All pieces created are fired and finished by Kim and available for pick up or delivery within two days of the class.
Each student may pick out ONE of the following finishes, additional finishes can be added for a minimal fee. Typically, students create more than one piece per class.
